Hello everyone. This is my first post on your great message board ! Congrats to all for a very interesting and intelligent medium for drummers .

Even though I have a jazz-oriented background, I discovered Virgil Donati and I've seen him play several times, with or without a band. Last time I witnessed a clinic, this last summer, he showed us all at the clinic how better he is, how he has matured as a person and a drummer. And Virgil now explains his skills, something we did not see him do in the first years living on the USA.

I just purchased tickets to see him again at the Montreal Drum Festival next November 13. Check out the details on the fest site at:

Hey Albert,

You probably saw Virgil at the same clinic as me last July !
And you're right, Virgil has come a long way... his playing is better than ever !

You say you are more of a jazz-oriented musiciam. Any bands I would know of that you played with ?
